Don't dip your back shoulder, swing down at the ball for backspin, hit the top half or third of the ball,

Many coaches/instructors(including many ex-professional players) don't teach rotational mechanics even
though that is how they hit during their playing career. Usually it's because linear hitting is what they
remember that they were taught when they were young. That's no excuse not to teach young players the
